Extraction of Organic Volatile Pollutants in Over-Saturated Water by Pervaporation Technique Using a Poly (Dimethylsiloxane)-Based Sealer as a Membrane

چکیده

SILICONE1200 is an inexpensive domestic poly (dimethylsiloxane)-based sealer that was used in this study to remove volatile organic compounds from over-saturated water using the pervaporation technique. A series of liquid representing important part polluting products released every day were chosen for study. These alkyl halides (chloroform), aromatics (toluene), aliphatic hydrocarbons (heptanes), ketones and aldehydes (butanone), organosulfides (thiophene). The mass transfer these their mixtures through membrane assessed predict results separation process. indicate mechanism diffusion obeyed a Fickian model. Different parameters affecting results, such as thickness, stirring rate, temperature, examined determine optimal conditions terms total flux selectivity. optimized then applied mixture polluted dynamic process with promising results.
